Centering process 3: Centering / chamfering
This is the final process of centering.
Centering
The process of grinding the outer circumference to match the shape and dimensions of the lens barrel with the lens centered by the bell clamp is the centering process. The outer circumference of the lens is ground by a grinder (see the figure above).
Chamfering
Finally, chamfering is performed to determine the effective diameter, height, and depth, and the centering process is completed.
